He strives for work that is not complex but has enough in it to elicit wonder and sympathy. Thus, products often allow themselves to explain how they are made. ‘Readability’ is essential to his designs. After a basic architectural education and a course in advertising and presentation technology, he continued his education at The Design Academy Eindhoven. In 2004, he graduated within the direction of Atelier. Then Floris Hovers started his own design studio in 2006.
